Where to buy lingerie for your boudoir session | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Picking out your wardrobe for your boudoir shoot can be a BIT intimidating. I mean, buying JEANS is intimidating these days. No thank you.

Luckily, after shooting constantly over the last 10 years we've got a few tried and true suggestions that always work… and I mean it when I say “always”.

You may love some of these individual pieces, or you might look around on the different websites to see other items you might like! Ideally, if you’ve hired us for your boudoir session then we suggest you order a couple of sizes in each thing that you like, that way you can see which size works the best and you don't have to worry about going and and forth with shipping times. No two brands’ sizing is the same, so we love multiple options!

Here are 4 Lingerie brands that are perfect for your boudoir session!

Did you know that we help out our clients when it comes to selecting their wardrobe for their boudoir session? Before our clients come in for their shoot we ask them to schedule a (complimentary) wardrobe consult with us so that they aren’t left in the dark on what to wear!

None of our clients have hours of free time to browse the ends of the earth for the perfect boudoir wardrobe, so that is where we come in! I love to find unique brands and pieces that will highlight the uniqueness of each client, PLUS it prevents everyone from coming in to their boudoir session looking the same as everyone else. Finding lingerie pieces that work for YOU and your body type will completely change the way you approach lingerie… you may even realize you like how lingerie looks on you!

Fit and quality is everything when it comes to lingerie for your boudoir session. The better something fits, the better you’ll look in your photos!

Here are my top 4 lingerie brands that I’ve had my eye on this year!

1: Edge O Beyond

This luxury lingerie brand is based in the U.K. and has been making waves recently with their beautifully embroidered pieces. Their lingerie collections include matching sets that you can mix and match based on your sizing and preferred styles. A bonus: their bra’s include sliding straps so that you can adjust it perfectly to your band size… that means NO cutting into your back or underarms!

2: LunaLae

This eco-conscious Austrailian lingerie brand is known for keeping solid colors interesting. Their strappy, soft, recycled ‘pole wear’ (think: perfect for pole dancing AND for your boudoir session). Each piece is interchangeable and I love mixing and matching the different color sets with each other! My recommendation for your boudoir session: Pair the same color bra and underwear with a different color garter belt!

3: SavageX

Rhianna continues to do no wrong with her lingerie and clothing brand, Savage X. This brand is known for their wide range of sizing and and incredible color wheel! When shopping online for your boudoir session it can be really difficult to have an idea of how a lingerie piece will look on YOU. SavageX helps clients out by showing their pieces on a wide range of sizes so that you can know exactly how a lingerie piece will look on your body type. UPDATE: Fenty has opened a store at Lenox Mall in Atlanta!

4: PrimaDonna

As a busty lady myself, finding sexy bras in my size has always been a struggle. Victoria’s Secret tries to lie to busty ladies by handing you a ‘sister size’ when you can’t fit into a traditional size, and that lie stays with us for a while. If you’re in the same situation then this brand is for you! PrimaDonna specializes in extended cop sizes and band ranges. You’ll find beautiful lace pieces that do NOT look like medical wraps. Bonus: they also have swimwear!!

If you’re struggling with looking for lingerie for your boudoir session, or for life in general, check out those 4 brands so that you can try something different. My goal is to always send our boudoir clients lingerie and styles that work with their shoot, and I promise there is something out there for everyone when it comes to the wardrobe underneath :)
