Three things to consider before you book your Boudoir Session!

When booking your boudoir session it can be super easy to get caught up in imagining how incredible you’ll look. You just KNOW that Maxim is going to call you to be a cover model (which of course you’ll have to turn down due to your grueling schedule of being a hot person). You can also get caught up in the images you see without considering other factors that will effect your session. Boudoir should be an incredible EXPERIENCE, not just an hour of fast-paced snapshots in scantily clad clothing.

Here are three important things to keep in mind:

1. Your preferred style of photography: There are a variety of different styles when it comes to boudoir photography - from classic and elegant to more edgy and adventurous/erotic. It's INCREDIBLY important to take some time to research different photographers and their portfolios to find someone whose style matches your personal taste and aesthetic. If you're not sure what style you prefer, feel free to ask the photographer for guidance or recommendations. For example: my style is darker and more sensual, and occasionally erotic. If a client comes to me and requests a pin-up style or a brighter/softer flirty style then I’d recommend a different boudoir photographer to them! Luckily here in Atlanta there are a TON of great studios.

2. The photographer's personality: Your boudoir photographer will be someone who is intimately involved in your photo shoot, so it's important to find someone who you feel comfortable with and enjoy working with. Look for a photographer who is personable, professional, and makes you feel at ease…your personalities should totally vibe together. Boudoir sessions already make clients nervous, so you want to be able to relax and have fun during your session, and that starts with feeling comfortable with the photographer.

3. Your deadline: If you're booking a boudoir session for a special occasion, such as a wedding or anniversary, it's important to factor in your deadline when scheduling your session. Make sure to communicate your timeline clearly with your photographer so that they can accommodate any specific needs or requirements. Keep in mind that it's always better to book your session well in advance to ensure that you have plenty of time to plan and prepare. Album processing and retouching times are usually the biggest factor in making sure a deadline is met, so make sure to ask your photographer about guaranteed turnaround times!

Merry Christmas!! | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Merry Christmas to all of our clients who celebrate! This year we were able to capture some very nice, naughty boudoir images for our clients to give as Christmas gifts. Our metro Atlanta boudoir studio had a full Christmas tree set up for about a month! It made an appearance in the background of some photoshoots, and it was the STAR of a few!

I hope that this season has been joyful, and if you’d rather move on to the next year instead of celebrating… well, I get that too!

Hope to celebrate with you all next year!!
