Monthly Boudoir Recap: June 2015
It's the beginning of July we are knee deep in summer weather, summer shoots, and lingerie at OWN boudoir studio. Here's a recap of the month of June!
My personal highlight from the month of June was that I got to go to New York (woo hoo!!!) and had an insightful interview with a woman that is writing about sex, intimacy, and purity culture in today's society. Talking with her was incredible. We sat at the Standard Hotel in Chelsea and discussed our views and experiences with relationships, sex, religion and sex, femininity, and intimacy. It was an incredible discussion. Though she was interviewing me, I was so inspired by our conversation. That conversation set me off on a path of inspiration and motivation for my clients– YOU guys. It reconfirmed for me that boudoir is so much more than 'sexy photos'. Boudoir is a vehicle for confident thought and pride in ourselves.
Oh... I also did a shoot in a gorgeous boutique hotel...and those images are f***ing ridiculous :)
The low light of June (womp) was that I had a hard drive fail which really super duper (duper duper) sucked because it costs $$$$$ as far as money and peace of mind is concerned. Hard drives fail ALL of the time, which is why I plead with you guys to back up your images. Back them up, back back back back it up. The HD failure contributed to an overall feeling of defeat for the first two weeks of June...but no need to worry, in the end the images from my completed sessions were recovered because I do back them up. I admit that to say... back up your photos. Please. Do it. Back them up.
As for the images created in June.... here are some samples. These ladies have so graciously allowed me to share.
Muah. xoxo
