How far out should you book your boudoir session? | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

"When should I book my boudoir session?"

Outside of the rest of the questions that you have about booking a boudoir session, the question of "WHEN?" should absolutely be at the top of your list. Picking a date and time is definitely step one because we're going to need to figure out when you should show up (duh!). It'll also give you a good idea of how long you have to freak-out before stepping foot into the studio ;)

Unfortunately, all too often we have to turn clients away because we are fully booked. I absolutely love when clients are so eager to have us photograph their session, but I hate having to disappoint when we can't accommodate a deadline.

The answer to the big question?

You should book your boudoir session at LEAST 2-4 months in advance, especially for holiday deadlines (our busiest time of the year!). Booking your boudoir session in advance gives us ample time to plan out the personal aspect of your session. Poses, wardrobe, music choices, etc. are all planned separately in the months leading up to your session.

Hoping for a miracle that we'll be able to squeeze you in? Please always ask, but just between you and me these aren't the kind of squeezes you'd typically enjoy.

Ready to make your first step?

Contact us today!

We can't wait to meet you!!!

xoxo,

Sarah

You'll never stay dry with this boudoir set ... | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

(The title of this blog post had me trying to figure out how to write an introduction that included both the words ‘boudoir’ and ‘wet’, but I couldn’t figure it out without wanting to make a dirty joke… so this is what you get)

Shower sessions have become one of our most popular requests. I mean, think about it:

You’re (hopefully) used to taking a shower, and so it isn’t as foreign to you as putting on a strap-heavy set of underpants

It requires very little posing instruction (due to the familiarity of knowing how to take a shower)

Hot and steamy skin looks sexyyyyyyy

These images are completely unexpected when one thinks about ‘lingerie photos’ (aka boudoir photographs).

For 2019 we’ve taken our shower set-up up a notch and we’ve made it an entirely separate add-on for your sessions. This way we can specifically create a shower backdrop just for you and based on the inspiration images that we discuss before your shoot. Believe it or not, most of the shower images don’t feature a real shower :) but you’ll have to come in studio to figure out our secrets.

Here's WHEN you should book your boudoir session | Atlanta Boudoir Photography

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Wondering when the best time to book your boudoir session is? Look no further than this post! Here we have listed all of the deadlines and date information that you need!

Here’s an example of our best selling package: An 8x8 album holding 25 images, a custom USB holding 25 full resolution digital images, and a complimentary mini album!

Here’s an example of our best selling package: An 8x8 album holding 25 images, a custom USB holding 25 full resolution digital images, and a complimentary mini album!

This post is designed to set you up for success, ensuring that you never miss the cut-off date for the holidays and making sure you know JUST how long it takes to get your album back so that you’ve got the perfect birthday gift. We had a LOT of sad emails this past season because we were booked to capacity and could not accommodate last-minute requests for boudoir gifts. While we don’t mind being booked up, we do hate having to send the “NO VACANCY” email to clients that are so excited to work with us.

In order to help solve that problem I wanted to our clients know now (yes, in January) what the deadlines are for the ENTIRE year. This helps you to plan out your boudoir session, and probably gives you a bit of relief since you now know exactly how much time you’ll need between your session and your requested delivery date. I’m hoping that this helps us all have a little less anxiety next year as we are planning your boudoir session!

The bonus of having these dates out now? You can go ahead and get a head start on booking your session, giving you first dibs on dates and times (also remember that weekend availability is only available to book until January 31st, meaning if you’d like a weekend in November then it’s best to snag it now!).

A couple of things:

  • Print Deadline means this is when your session needs to happen in order to have your images printed (be it in an album, prints, or otherwise)

  • Digital Deadline means this is when your session needs to happen in order to receive your images digitally only.

Now for the big picture!

  • General boudoir delivery deadlines (gift for yourself, birthdays, anniversaries, new job, etc)

    • Printed Images- No less than 2 weeks before your deadline

    • Digital Images- No less than 1 week before your deadline

  • Valentine’s Day-

    • Printed Images- January 31, 2019

    • Digital Images- February 3, 2019

  • Hanukkah and Christmas 2019

    • Printed Images- December 3, 2019

    • Digital Images- December 13, 2019

And there you have it! These are all of the major deadlines that you’ll need to keep in mind when booking your boudoir session with OWN. Our travel schedule during the summer and fall will affect availability for sessions, but not shipping of products!

It's not always about the veil | Atlanta Boudoir Photography

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

What do you wear for your bridal boudoir session if you’re not really in to the whole “bridal” thing?

While most of our clients have chosen to have their boudoir session for themselves, we do a have quite a few that choose to give the gift of their boudoir photos for birthdays, anniversaries, deployments, and of course as a wedding gift! But, what if bridal veils and garters aren’t exactly your style?

We get this question quite often from our bridal boudoir clients, and it really allows us to help curate a wardrobe for their shoot that they feel represents their OWN self. As we’re planning your session we will discuss images you are drawn to and the different outfits that you plan to bring with you. If the traditional bridal accessories don’t really excited you then tell us! To be honest, we will probably ask you about it, but just in case we don’t you had better veto any tiaras and white stockings that we try to suggest for you.

If you’re looking for non-traditional wardrobe choices for your bridal session, but still want to keep the ivory and white color scheme we have a few suggestions for where to shop.

One of our favorite places as of recent is Free People. Free people has been stepping up their ‘intimates’ category lately and they have gorgeous selections of robes, crop tops, body suits, tanks, bra sets, sheer gowns, etc. Here is one of my favorite pieces that would look great with a sheer bra (or nothing!) underneath.

This body chain is now a part of our studio closet! | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

What do you do with those accessories or lingerie that you’re pretty certain you’d never wear outside of your boudoir shoot?

We get this question every few weeks, and my answer is always the same: Give them to me!! I will take great care of them, and those unique pieces that helped create your perfect boudoir look (but don’t really have a place in your home closet) will get put to great use!

Exhibit A: This body chain was recently donated to the boudoir closet after a client’s session! It’s obviously great as a body chain, but I’ve used it as handcuffs/ties, as well as a collar (and a few other things ;)).

Could it be perfect for your boudoir session, too? It’s here waiting for you! I can also easily pop it into my luggage if you’re not having your session here in Atlanta… it doesn’t exactly take up a lot of room ;)

Representation | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Atlanta United has made it into the MLS Playoffs, which has nothing to do with boudoir…or does it?

This past weekend, Atlanta’s own MLS team won their match and will be advancing in the playoffs. The MLS team has a HUGE following here in Atlanta, which is so rare for an Atlanta team. We have quite the reputation of being terrible fans :)

To celebrate their advancement I of course wanted to pull some representation from the boudoir archives! This image from a recent boudoir session is doing everything it can to distract you from keeping your eye on the ball. Maybe we should put it on the sidelines to distract our opponents?

2018 Boudoir Mini Sessions are here!!! | Atlanta Boudoir

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Once a year we get a brilliant idea of a theme that we know our boudoir clients would absolutely love. More often than not this theme isn’t one that most of our clients want to create an entire session around, but it is definitely a theme that they’d be interested in if we downsized the session!

This year’s theme? Burlesque!!!

Throw on your corsets, your velvet, your frills, and your heels. We’ve booked a Burlesque club here in Atlanta and are hosting a day of mini-sessions!!! We have 5 boudoir mini sessions available on November 25th, 2018.

Here is the link to schedule yours: Book your mini session here!

We’ve had a LOT of fun creating some inspiration boards for these sessions, too. I’m basically just watching and rewatching Moulin Rouge in order to prepare. There will be some serious Nicole Kidman and Dita Von Teese channeling happening in November!

See you there?

Here’s a glimpse at our inspiration :)

Celebrating '50 again', late-life divorce, and seeing yourself | Atlanta boudoir photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

One of the best parts about photographing boudoir sessions for individual women is that I get to bring you stories of life and purpose that will hopefully resonate with you. Boudoir photography, while resulting in killer imagery (especially at my new studio here in Atlanta!), is still a product of a journey for most of my clients.

We have events in our lives, milestones, relationships, random Tuesdays, etc that shape our views of ourselves (for better and for worse!). It's incredible to watch a new sense of OWNership and love-of-self take over after the boudoir experience. This lovely woman came to me at our Atlanta boudoir studio out of celebration and I loved reading her story. Check it out below!

1) How old are you... or if you prefer, who were you listening to at age 14 :)?

I just celebrated my ’50-again’ birthday in December

2) What do you do for a living?

I am an Information Technology Manager

3) What/who made you decide to book a boudoir session?

Divorce after 25 years of being married, relocating to Atlanta, starting a new job, new life – [I] wanted to celebrate me and all I have become

4) Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?

LOL, like most people, I’m sure, I was concerned about how this body really looked!

5) Why did you choose OWN?

After seeing the pictures on the website and the tasteful, sensuous, artistic expressions of all types of women, I knew Sarah was a skilled professional

6) How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?

It was much more personalized and casual and relaxing than I expected….it was like spending the afternoon with a good girlfriend! The way Sarah directed me to pose was incredibly easy but produced magnificent results!!

7) What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (priming, the shoot, seeing images, giving the images..etc)

Hard to pick a favorite; the entire experience was uplifting and confidence building. Probably the most surprising and pleasing part was seeing the images and thinking “ damn, is that really me?!”

8) How has the response been to your images?

Very consistent – gasp of air, jaws dropped, then “WOW”

9) What is your advice for women interested in such a session? –

DO NOT WAIT, do it now!

10) Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of this session?

Absolutely. More confident. I am gorgeous

Props? Oh yes, bring your props | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

J.K. Rowling and Yo Yo Ma would be so proud.

When this lovely client came to our Atlanta studio last year with her "can I bring props to my boudoir session" question we went all 'Broad City' and were like "YAAASSS QUEEN". Of course, we tend to say "YAS" before asking for more information, but we haven't been burned yet.

(That being said, please don't surprise me by bringing some weird prop like a taxidermy fox-thing, IDK what to do with that).

During our questionnaire and wardrobe planning process, which you can read more about in a few posts back, she elaborated that she'd love to bring in her cello as well as the candles she'll use at her October wedding. Insert a sigh of relief from us that she wasn't bringing a taxidermy fox.

I'll admit, working my lighting with the candles proved to be a bit of an equation at first. I was 0% satisfied with a lot of the images, but with a little experimentation and a LOT of micro adjustments I finally got it right. Cue Harry Ma, which is my combo of Harry Potter and Yo Yo Ma. Deal with it.

To date, these candles and the cello are some of my favorite unique props that have been brought in to the boudoir studio! I’m currently on my way to San Francisco for a few boudoir sessions (Yippeee!!!!!) and I can’t wait to see the props that these ladies come up with :)

New lingerie brand alert!! | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Hey hey hey, happy hump-day (which is totally boudoir appropriate) and stuff like that. It sounds a bit cynical to say "and stuff like that", but really... who knows what you're doing or HOW you're doing on this Wednesday. Though we may all be doing different activities at the moment, if you're on this boudoir blog then we have one thing in common: boudoir. Cue Captain Obvious.

Since we are all here for boudoir information (because I know you're not here for my excellent writing skills) I wanted to let you guys know about an amazing lingerie brand that a recent client introduced me to!

The brand is called: Altur and you can find them at: https://altur.co

Taking a quick peek around their site I see that you can find lingerie sets at around $39 each. By set I mean BRA and UNDIES. Two thangs, ya'll.

I've seen a bodysuit in person (picture below) and haven't yet seen the bra sets, but they are beautiful and it is worth a shot to try them out!!! Let me know what you think!

In love and lace and hump days,

Sarah

Get featured on our website! | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Are you interested in featuring your boudoir images on our homepage? You can be an Atlanta boudoir client, a Chicago boudoir client, a San Francisco client, a boudoir client from Mars....  it doesn't exactly matter.

Last night we sent out a mass email to our past boudoir clients asking if they’d like to be featured on our website! If you’re a past client and did NOT get that email (but would still like the grace the pages of our website) please let us know!

See, it’s been a hot neon second (which is a term I definitely just made up) since I’ve added new images to the homepage of our website. We update our blog and instagram constantly, but that first page hasn’t been updated in about a year and a half.

Cue the “slacker” comments, because OMG I know. Sorry folks. It’s not like it takes up that much more time than a blog post (like this one), it’s just that I have such a hard time knowing what to feature!

This is where my brilliant idea came in to let my past clients have a say in what get’s featured. As a photographer I of course have my favorite images, but a boudoir experience isn’t about me creating images for myself. A boudoir experience – your boudoir experience – is about you and creating images that you love and that elevate you.

SO.

Are you a past client that did not see our email but would absolutely like to be featured? Let me know! I can’t wait to showcase the new homepage!

My favorite lingerie stores in Atlanta! | Atlanta boudoir photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Now that you've booked your boudoir session, where on earth do you find your boudoir wardrobe?! Can we even call it a wardrobe? :)

Shopping for lingerie can be insanely intimidating, plus where on earth does one shop if they're looking for unique pieces that won't make you look back and say "oh yeah! 2018! The year of the strappy bralettes".

Here in Atlanta (though they also have online stores) I wanted to remind you that there are two amazing brick-and-mortar stores.

What this means is that you can try lingerie ON and get hands-on advice for what looks best on you. Bonus: trying lingerie on around someone you don't know will really help prepare you for your boudoir session.

Kidding, but not really.

Love love love this bodysuit by BlueBella (available at any of the below stores)

Anna Bella Fine Lingerie in Alpharetta is a beautiful boutique with an amazing owner, Pam, to assist you in your lingerie needs. For our boudoir clients they never steer wrong, and there are options for every style, size, and budget.

Trashy Diva Intimates is located in the Poncey-Highlands area of Atlanta and is fresh in town from New Orleans! Their boutique is stunning and includes a dress-shop as well! Style, size, and budget are no issue here... plus they have a wide variety of burlesque accessories for all of you looking to branch out in your talents.

As always, tell them we sent you, say yes to something out of your comfort zone, and enjoy the experience.

In love and lingerie,

When you take time out just for you... | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Before you start inboxing me about where you can get the gorgeous lingerie featured in this post, I'll go ahead and tell you to head on over to Honey Birdette and fill up your shopping cart. This stuff is absolutely gorgeous and every single boudoir session that has brought in this lingerie brand has photographed so perfectly!

Ok, PSA over :)

Now, I can't wait for you to read through this interview. You can just tell from her words that this bubbly beauty, mother, nurse, wife, and friend is a joy to be around and is radiating the confidence that was there all along. We had an incredible day together and really made the whole boudoir session an excuse for her to take a 'me day'. Often times we can lose ourselves in the routines of life, forgetting how unique and beautiful we really are. If you're finding yourself in that space then consider living by her example and booking a time for YOU. Book your boudoir session, go have dinner by yourself, get a manicure, lay on the couch and stare at the ceiling.... whatever you've got to do!

Enjoy, xoxo

Sarah

1) How old are you... or if you prefer, who were you listening to at age 14 :)?

     I’m 34.

2) What do you do for a living? Or... How do you typically spend your days?

I am a nurse. I currently work in an oncology ICU.

3) What prompted you to consider booking a boudoir session?

This is something that I have wanted to do for years. I fell like I always go above and beyond for others so I made a New Years resolution to start doing more things for me. It seemed like the perfect time to finally book my session!

4) Fears and hesitations are common when it comes to boudoir! What (if any) fears or hesitations did you have with regards to your session?

I was really worried that I wouldn’t get images as good as all the others that I have seen. Boy was I wrong! I was also worried that when I viewed my images I would be able to pick out all the things about my body that I hate, wrong again!

5) Thank you so much for choosing OWN! What was it about us that made you choose us for your boudoir session?

My initial attraction was simply seeing Sarah’s work. I mean, it speaks for itself. All of the images are so classic and timeless. Once I reached out to get additional info about potentially booking a shoot I was sold! Everyone that works in this company in AMAZING and the personalities are the BEST.

6) How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?

It was a lot like what I anticipated except way more laid back.

7) What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (primping, the shoot, seeing images, giving the images..etc)

It is so hard to pick just one favorite part. I for sure loved the primping because that is so far out of my ordinary routine. I would have to say I really enjoyed hanging out with Sarah and the fact that the whole day was all about me!

8) How has the response been to your images?

Amazing! So far everyone has loved them.

9) What is your advice for women interested in such a session (aside from "JUST DO IT!!!")?

Make the time and do this for you. It is about so much more than what your body looks like.

10) What has changed about the way you see your OWN beauty?

Now that I am older and more confident what I think about myself is so much more important than what other people think about me.

A different way to beat the heat | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

With summer in full swing over here in Atlanta I am constantly on the prowl for ways to avoid sweating. Honestly I barely make it out to my car without a little bit of perspiration, so I actively avoid going outside let along make any movements at all. My boudoir studio's AC unit has been working overtime thanks to the huge windows that take up an entire wall. Of course these windows are GORGEOUS for photographing boudoir, so I'm not entirely pissed at them. Just know that if you're a client coming in for your session over the next few months I apologize for dressing the way that I do. I'd rather not be a storm of sweat when you and I meet!

Want to know one way to cool off during your session? Incorporate a shower scene!!! The shower scene has been a staple request from clients since I started them about 4 years ago! The very first shower scene had me sold. Once I published the images and clients saw a new, creative,  concept for their boudoir session I've photographed over 100 shower scenes. Here are a few examples from over the years. Use these as inspiration for your OWN boudoir session and come see me! I promise to keep the AC on full blast.

Save the date!!! | Atlanta boudoir photography

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

Save the date for our Atlanta Boudoir open house on July 15th!!!

Are you a potential client that has been thinking about this for a while?

  • This is a perfect opportunity to come and see images from past clients and even SPEAK to those clients. Hear their experiences. They will hopefully tell you great things, but they will also tell you details about what might not have been as great. The point is that you will get an entirely honest and informative view of OWN boudoir.

Are you a past client that is basically a professional model now that you've have your shoot?

  • Come back and say "hey" and let's hang out! Bring your friends because we will have some specials going on AND we have cool things for you, too.

Come meet me (Sarah), and some of the OWN Boudoir team. We will drink champagne, show off boudoir photos, meet our photographers, tour the studio, pick up a few hair and makeup tips, book your own boudoir session, win boudoir prizes, and generally have an amazing time with us! That's a long list of fun but if you want to add to it let me know!

We'll provide the champagne and snacks (get excited about the amount of cheese and cupcakes that will be there), you show up and mooch off of us for a couple of hours! We'll have boudoir door-prizes, contests to win, gift bags, BUT MOST OF ALL YOU GET TO MEET SOME OF THE OWN TEAM. It's a big deal.

When you're walking in to the studio and you're T-1hr from stripping down into lingerie that you have just bought 4 days ago it can be SLIGHTLY nerve-racking.

So.

Come say hello.

Let me feed you snacks and give you gifts. It'll be fun and a great way to top off your weekend!

Here's a sneak peek of the shenanigans we'll have. Remember typing 'BOOBS' into your calculators in school using '80085'? So do we :)

I am not alone (a revisit) | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

Posted on by sarahwitherington@gmail.com

**This is a revisit to a post that I wrote at this time last year (original post and photos here). My life has changed SO much in the last year. For example, this time last year I was on a girl's trip to Greece taking every advantage of my single hood. This year I'm currently sitting in a hotel in Florence, Italy with my boyfriend of a year. I'm reposting this because I know there has to be at least one person going through a similar situation as I was last year. I've talking to so many of my boudoir clients (both my boudoir clients in Atlanta and ALL around the worlds) and our personal struggles are often so similar so we should never feel alone. Ok the end :) Read on for the full post and to see some photos from our current trip!

--------------

If you've spent more than 5 minutes with me over the last 5 months then you've heard me talk excitedly about my newfound single-hood. There has been a LOT of traveling, in fact one of my BFFs asked me if I even lived in Atlanta anymore. (The answer is 'yes' I do still live in Atlanta, and I also live at the Atlanta airport. Shout out to the SkyClub at concourse B!)

This stage in my life has been named and re-named a few times and to be completely forward with you guys.. the current operating title is 'Hoe phase'. ;) I'm out there letting my freak flag fly and enjoying every minute of it. Don't get me wrong, cashing 'flirt' checks isn't how I fill the entirety of my time, but it holds a pretty big piece of the pie-chart.

For the first time in five and a half years I am living life on my own, but I am not 'alone'.

I'll admit that even though my relationship ended amicably, at first I was a little bitter and lost. My ex got to 'keep' our circle of friends. He 'got' to keep the apartment. Outside of no longer having me in his life (which as we all know is a terrible thing since I am so amazing hahahahaha) it seemed as if he didn't really have anything that changed. He owns a lot of clothes so at the very best he got to take over a second closet. I was the one that was immediately thrown into finding a new circle of friends, creating new routines, and frequenting foreign coffee shops.

It took me all of about a week to get over the feeling of eye-rolling bitterness. To my surprise, the relationships and experiences that I have had over the last 5 months have been extraordinary. It really is fascinating the experiences that are easy to say 'YES' to when you have zero commitments telling you to say 'NO'. Of course right now my only voice-of-no is my wallet ;) I've met more people, travelled to more places, and tried more new experiences than I did in five and a half years.

I say this to say. I am not 'alone'.

A girlfriend and I had dinner a few months ago and she asked me if I was worried that I had spent 5years of my life with someone and had to 'start over' by being alone in my 30s. Let's all give her a bit of grace and assume she didn't mean that in a completely demeaning way. Had I not known this girl for 25 years I probably would have been offended, but I wasn't. There are as many different values as there are people in this world, and I've never been one to really have a romantic relationship as a top value.

The idea of not really caring either way about having a relationship with someone else is a foreign concept to some. With regards to the subject of boudoir, I'm often met with puzzled faces when I mention that a boudoir session is often done because my clients want the photos for 'just' themselves.

"Just".

Fuck that word.

"Just" yourself is enough. There is no one on this earth that you should love and honor more than yourself. It is wonderful to love someone else and to be loved by someone else, but you are also enough when you are "just" you. If you aren't in a romantic partnership you are not alone. I am not alone. If you ARE in a romantic partnership, you are not alone. I am not alone. We are living our lives. We may go to bed solo or *feeling* solo, but we are not alone. We have a world of common interests (I mean, you are reading this blog... presumably with like ONE other person) that gives us community.

My girlfriend I was talking about is constantly trying to hook me up with any single male she meets.

"Just go on ONE date" she says.

"I do not want to date anyone" I say.

"Just ONE" she says.

::there's that word 'just' again::

"I do not want to date anyone" I repeat.

"Ok well keep thinking about it" she forces.

::eye roll::

I am not alone. I am ME. And I am enough. You are not alone. You are YOU. And you are enough.

The scar of infertility: a testimony | Atlanta Boudoir Photographer

**While I've mentioned our personal project what seems like 2843 times this year, I'm going to continue to mention it as it is completed.

"See these lines across my face, they tell you the story of who I am..."- Brandi Carlile

The first official "Scars of our OWN" story is up on our instagram (@scarsofourown). For convenience I've reposted the images and the narrative below.

As a boudoir photographer I am honored to work intimately with clients. Both photographing them in intimates and listening to the intimate details of their lives. Working with clients has made me crack up to the point of tears and also feel empathy to the point of tears. Part of what has inspired the scar project is the sheer variety of scars, of stories, that my clients bring in to their boudoir session. Some scars, like the ones below, are physically visible. Some scars, also like the ones below, make their marks on the heart.

-Sarah

"My scars represent my 7 year struggle with infertility. With over 15 surgeries, countless Drs appointments, infections, injections, miscarriages and left with one ovary and one mangled filopian tube. Every month you grieve when you get  the negative test. It represents my fight, my endurance, my relentlessness, my hope, my tears, my prayers and my faith in God.

I know that infertility is a struggle that can go silent. It's more common than you think. No one wants to say anything and as a woman you struggle with the fact that it's  challenging for you to bring life into the world and you can't get your body to act right like a normal female yet everyone asks "when are you guys going to have a baby?" It's a rough ride. These scars tell my story. It's a part of my fabric now, molded into my character. May is also infertility awareness month.

I want to encourage and inspire those in the same struggle to hold on and know you are still gorgeous in the fight.

[To those with scars, I say} Own it. Be proud of it. Know that you are wonderfully made and the journey has made you fearless."
