Client Interview for the "Plain Jane"
1) How old are you... or if you prefer, who were you listening to at age 14 :)?
I am a young 36 year old!!
2) What do you do for a living?
Medical Assistant
3) What/who made you decide to book a boudoir session?
My boyfriend’s birthday was coming up…. And I wanted to do something that I knew he would love. We label each other “kinky meets conservative”… LOL, of course me being the conservative one.. so this was the perfect gift to step outside of my comfort zone!!
4) Did you have any obstacles or fears about boudoir?
Uhhhhh…. Of course!! Haha. Just like every woman I have certain insecurities. I HATE my boobs, and was in no way going to expose them!! I also was a bit nervous over being able to look decent on photograph… considering I’m not model status!! I’m as plain as they come!! All the insecurity left and some of my favorites ended up being shots I never even thought I would have done!!
5) Why did you choose OWN?
The images and bio!! I looked and looked but kept coming back to OWN. The images were the perfect display of capturing any woman of any size or style and showing true beauty. Every single woman on the site was sexy and beautiful and they were all done with such tastefulness. Reading the bio I felt instantly comfortable without ever meeting. I felt as though it was a friend to friend rather than a professional stiff type thing.
6) How was the actual session different from what you expected (if at all)?
It was.. in a completely good way. I didn’t expect to be as comfortable as I was right off the bat. From the time I sat down in the make-up chair it was just like girlfriends getting together for a fun time!! Listening to music, laughing, snacking… and of course snapping some awesome pics along the way!!
7) What was your favorite part of the entire experience? (priming, the shoot, seeing images, giving the images..etc)
Oh gosh!! Do I have to choose?? :) Each part of the experience honestly had its own set of excitement. If I must choose I would say meeting for the reveal of all the images!! That first moment when you really see all the images for the first time is awesome!! Like… OMG.. that’s me and I Iook HOT!! Haha :)
8) How has the response been to your images?
AMAZING!! I had the best time sharing with girlfriends, and everyone has absolutely loved them…
9) What is your advice for women interested in such a session?
DO IT!!! That’s it!! It is a MUST for any woman!! Regardless of how you “think” you feel or look or if you could NEVER see yourself doing it….. just do it!! That and trust!!! Once you make that leap of faith… go in with an open mind. TRUST ME!! Poses and shots you never think would work… look amazing because you have an awesome photographer with an awesome eye and who knows how to capture the perfect images!!!
10) Did anything change about the way you see your own beauty as a result of this session?
It did!! It was a boost of confidence for sure. To portray yourself as a “plain jane” woman and then see yourself captured in a way that is absolutely beautiful and gorgeous and hot and sexy….. words can’t even describe it!!
